Volunteer
Contact 88 is operated almost entirely by volunteers, working with our elderly and disabled clients on various outings and activities. The clients are all capable of independent living and there is no requirement for our volunteers to undertake any duties of a personal nature.
We are always looking to add new members to our team in two operational roles:
Drivers
Drivers are required for our two minibuses on the various programmed outings. The basic requirements are :-
- Aged between 25 yrs - 79 yrs
- Holder of a full valid licence with category D1
- Willingness to undertake an independent driving assessment - renewed every 3 years.

Outings Assistants
Outings assistants provide support to the driver by taking responsibility for the comfort and safety of passengers and assisting our less able clients as appropriate.
